The Norsemen were a savage group of marauders who were very superstitious. They believed deeply in their witches. Witches were usually females. The few male witches were considered lacking in masculinity to the point of being almost female themselves. These witches could travel unharmed due to people fearing being cursed. Witches were considered holy and were gifted with the power of prophecy. Healing and wisdom were other "powers" they held.
